Diego with his new family in Santa Rosa, CA.

Tulips, now called Gizmo, with her new sister in Pittsburg, CA.

Shelly, a beautiful young Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix, was rescued from the shelter after she began showing signs of stress and frustration in the shelter environment. She became only available to rescues as she could no longer be shown to the public (despite being super sweet!) Luckily, she found a wonderful home just in the nick of time in Half Moon Bay where she now spends her days playing and running off her energy on a beautiful acreage.

Dewey with his new mother in Fremont, CA.
She writes:
"He is doing remarkably well and it seems we are almost inseparable. He is happy, energetic, loving and brings love and joy to my life every day. We take walks, he still loves to feel the wind in his face when in the car and is enjoying spending time with Morgan, (friend's dog). His appetite is very good, he loves running and basking in the sun. He has found his home thanks to you."
The Perfect Dog's Note:
"Dewey has been our biggest challenge yet. In addition to incredible vet bills and his old age, he went through two other foster-to-adopt homes (which didn't work out due to no fault of his own), we finally found him the perfect home where he will be treated as a King! :) "
Benny (the black terrier mix on the right) with his new brother, Tugis, in Newark, CA.
His new mom writes:
"Benny has lots of nicknames now. Among them is Houdini- he can escape from anything! This summer will be all about desensitization and crate training. Benny will be getting evaluated for daycare soon, and we hope to have him joining Tugis on Wednesdays at A Dog's Life. Benny's favorite activities include: following Tugis, sleeping on the bed and in any dog bed, rearranging our laundry all over the house, wrestling, walks on trails, some wading in creeks, and snuggling next to people. He wiggles all the time and wags his whole body when he's happy to see us (which is all the time). He is getting used to traveling in the car on weekends. Benny is also learning some basic commands: sit, stay, down, and wait. We are still working on waiting at the curb and not jumping up. Benny absolutely LOVES to run full-speed at the dog park and in our back yard. Benny has a very busy personality, and we come home to his self-entertaining antics every evening. He is a love bug, and really enjoys all the people in the house, Tugis, and even tolerates the teasing of the cats. Good luck in your efforts to find loving homes for deserving dogs!"

Tommy's new mother writes: "Chip has been a wonderful addition to our family and a great "little brother" for our other dog Penny. He makes us laugh with his innocent playfulness and mischievous efforts to get Penny to play with him. When he thinks no one is looking, he'll jump into Penny's bed, mess up her blanket and pillow, and then jump into his own bed. He's the little brother you can't help but love. It's a joy seeing Chip and Penny's friendship grow stronger each day. Thank you for your efforts in helping us find the perfect dog for our family!"
